It’s a historical novel that is set in late 18th century London and Paris, just before and during the French Revolution. But what does this have to do with Real Estate? What’s the connection with London and Paris, isn’t Artemis based in Barcelona?

For those who are not familiar with the firm, JP Morgan Chase is a multinational investment bank and financial services firm. It’s one of the oldest financial institutions in the USA and one of the biggest, managing north of $3 trillion. What on earth is an investment bank doing buying houses to manage them and rent them out? Why don’t they just give mortgages to people to buy houses?
